Approximately 1,150 tradesmen and businesses providing more than 6,355 jobs are located in the Municipality of Hünenberg.

There is a wide variety of businesses. They range from the small one-man or one-woman company to the international commercial enterprise. At the end of 2011, most jobs were provided by commerce (1,219), real estate and computing (944) and the building trade (572).

Of the 6,355 jobs (situation at the end of 2011), 5,121 were full-time and 1,234 part-time positions. The Municipality of Hünenberg has recorded an increase in jobs of about 48 per cent since 2008.
